The hotel is conveniently located in a central area close to the bus station and local restaurants. It's just a pleasant stroll away from a local maritime history museum, which was a great way to spend some time.

Great choice for weekend. Exceptionally clean property with friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent and perfect location for our visit to Sea Life Great Yarmouth around 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel. Lovely bathroom in the a nice size room. Lovely and marvellous breakfast, plenty of options available.

Ideal spot for a family stay. the location was top-notch, right by the bus station - super convenient! 🚌.

700 feet away there is Chicken Bbq, where you can dine. No reason to complain, I would stay here again. I had a car, so 10 minutes drive to gorleston beach...

Very friendly people and enviroment, was given lots of information, short distance away from the seafront and other attractions.

The rooms here were super clean, featuring a fancy four-poster bed that was so cozy. the beds were really comfortable too. Plus, this venue is in such a great spot, just a stone's throw away from the seafront 🌊.

We had a wonderful stay so close to the Sea Life Centre, and the location was perfect, plus a canopy bed was an added bonus.

The Hosts, Sandie and Tony were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay of 4 nights. The Shrewsbury is a very well decorated Guest House with particular attention being paid to cleanliness in all aspects. The Breakfasts were first class with nothing being too much trouble for them to please us. The bed was very comfortable and room nicely furnished as far as space would allow. The tea/coffee/chocolate making facilities were very generously replenished each day.

In our particular case, we found the en suite too cramped. This wasn't too bad for a short stay, but would want a different room next time.

I chose The Shrewsbury Hotel basically because it has private parking (at a small extra cost) but when we arrived we were very pleasantly surprised by this guest house in Great Yarmouth. We actually arrived earlier than we said we would and the proprietor was totally friendly and helpful, and when we appeared 15 minutes before breakfast started (we got the time wrong!!) on Sunday morning they were extremely kind and served us nevertheless. The room was lovely and bright, airly and very comfortable, the food was excellent and the ambiance extremely friendly. Minutes from the seafront with a lovely park round the corner and a green opposite, we will definitely stay at The Shrewsbury Hotel next time we are in the area.

The breakfast here is fantastic, serving delicious pancakes and fresh fruit, offering everything you could want, and overall providing excellent service.

The owners were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel at ease and very relaxed despite our naughty toddler! Breakfast was very good too, good selection and nicely cooked.

Great and fab position: walking distance to a bus station. Walking distance to a shopping area and all the major shops across the street.
